Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of The Potter’s House Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads to those in other countries.  The Potter’s House members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as church maintenance, to ushering to missions updates.

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Our worship is a mix of contemporary as well as less contemporary favorites.  We have a varied and mixed approach to worship but maintain that it glorify the Lord and never be reduced to entertainment.  There is always room for people to help set up our projection schedule for worship as well as getting involved with the technical aspect required by the tools we employ.  These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of The Potter’s House Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

The usher team at The Potter’s House Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of The Potter’s House Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. This is an area we are constantly evolving in and look forward to new ideas and directions from our members.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. The Potter’s House Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday morning right after the sermon,we take the time to pray for those in need whether they come to our church or not. There is also a prayer chain for those needs that require immediate attention.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, The Potter’s House holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity to help children learn and remember the lessons that are presented.

Mission Outreach

The Potter’s House is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in supporting specific missionaries with our money and with our prayers.  The Potter’s House has a specific goal regarding our missions field.

James 1:27 (NKJV)

27 Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.

Jesus was very concerned with the children, not only how they were raised but what they were taught.  We believe this is where real change can occur.  We support a missionary in India who has a vision for the unchurched and more specifically with widows.  Pastor Paul Daniel has a call to minister to widows and children while also building new churches for the people in his area of India.
The Potter’s House Church is also involved in the American Police Chaplains.  This organization is striving to put a New Testament into the hands of every law enforcement officer in the United States.  We are helping this effort by contributing funds to print the bibles.
